One year after suffering a gruesome broken leg in the Elite Eight against Duke, Louisville guard Kevin Ware has decided to transfer.
ESPN.com first reported the news.
It's not an entirely unexpected move, as Ware will likely look to transfer closer to home.
The Georgia native is redshirting this season after injuring his right
leg again back in December. Ware only played nine games this season
before ending his campaign.
Ware was one of the most well-known
players in college basketball throughout the summer after his injury
against Duke last season. When he returned to play against Pikeville College
in a preseason exhibition game, it looked to be the start of a
tremendous comeback story. However, Ware will now depart the Cardinals.
