Happy Star Wars Day -- May the Fourth be with you

To all those Star Wars
fans out there -- May the Fourth be with you.
Today is May 4, which is just another day for many folks, but for those who grew up with the original Star Wars trilogy in the 1970s-80s and the subsequent prequel trilogy about 16 years later, it’s Star Wars Day.
So don’t be surprised to see a few Darth Vaders, Boba Fetts and Princess Leias walking the street and exclaiming, "May the Force be with you!"
One place to hold a celebration was the Cedar Mill Community Library, which invited kids and kids-at-heart to come join the activities.
There are a slew of stories out there to commemorate the day, including a video from NASA flight engineer Rick Mastracchio, aboard the International Space Station.
Darth Vader walks the Earth today. And by that, we mean he's walking all over the place — fans of the sci-fi franchise are celebrating Star Wars Day, or May 4 for the less geek-inclined. NPR
On "May the Fourth Be With You" Day, droves of Americans will dress up and celebrate, and I will be one of them. On no other day of the year will I don any cultural garb, but on this Saturday I'll show up to Downtown Durham, North Carolina's large Star Wars Day festival with a replica lightsaber at my side. The Force is strong again and “Star Wars” fans will celebrate it on May 4. With millions looking forward to the film “Star Wars VII”, the 4th of May has become an unofficial holiday to celebrate George Lucas’ saga, now owned by Disney. Sacramento Bee
As anyone with a Boba Fett action figure already knows, May 4 is Star Wars Day, as in, "May the Fourth be with you.” (Yeah, it’s kind of a stretch). It has become so big that even NASA celebrates it. With Star Wars Day exploding across the Internet, it’s easy to forget that in 1977, when TIE Fighters first screeched across the big screen, the Web did not exist.
